Did Luther teach the priesthood of all believers?

In this stimulating Lutheran Timothy Wengert argues that Luther nowhere taught the priesthood of all believers. He also says that the term occurs nowhere in his writings, nor in the writings of the early Reformers.

Worth reading and pondering.

Hmmm, where did it come from then? Anabaptists?

Just browsing and I saw this. Haven't read the article yet, but I'm familiar with Luther enough to know he does talk about the Priesthood of all Believers. It also comes from 1 Peter 2:9. The only writing I am sure of off the top of my head dealing with this is Luther's "Address to the German Nobility". Also, somewhat in "Secular Authority", if I remember correctly, though I am quite a bit less certain on this. It has been awhile since I've read it. Ok, going to read the article now. Hopefully I don't bit my tongue too hard.
